Shooting Assignment # 4

  1. I love the coziness of these photos- if that makes sense. The colors are all very warm colors and there isn't any sharp lighting. I especially love the top photo of the flower pedal, the detailing and depth of field is perfect!

  2. I feel like all of these photos could belong in a series. They all are warm and delicate and I am very drawn to them. I enjoy the soft lighting you used as well.

  3. I agree with the comments above. It is also interesting how the colors have consciously or unconsciously coordinated with the season. Or at least the lighting conditions of a fall morning/ afternoon help to reinforce the theme you have running through this set. You definitely got close to your objects as used it to your advantage to exploit the textures in each object.

  4. These are really beautiful photos, Danielle! The depth of field in the second one is amazing; I'm not even bothered by the fact that I have no idea what the image is of! That's another aspect that draws me to this group of photos; their abstractness. The third photo is also very nice and, as noted above, the lighting really plays into the motif of all of them. Nice job!

  5. I hate to jump on the bandwagon - but I agree with what everyone is saying here. Even though these images seem to be just focusing on small details of things around your apartment they are really captivating. It almost seems as if you used this assignment to focus us in on small details of yourself/ your life. The textures in the first image (the silky petals, wood desk, glossy glass) make it really tactile and engaging.
